Successful Women Of India

They say that behind every successful man is a woman. But the truth is that successful woman find it far more challenging than men to make a mark for themselves. Many women have been able to create a name for themselves because they have been able to shine in spite of the all the challenges that they had to face. Some of the notable women of India who have made a name for themselves include Rani Lakshmi Bai, Irom Sharmila, Chhavi Rajawat, Amrita Devi, Asha Roy and so on. These women had to prove their worth in extremely difficult and challenging circumstances, and have been brave enough to make the right decisions at the right time. 

Rani Lakshmi Bai was able to stand up against the British forces at a time when India needed her the most. Another notable woman from India who made a mark in the international scene was Kalpana Chawla. Kalpana Chawla was the only woman astronaut from India who made to the world-renowned space station at NASA and even made it to the international space station. Sadly she died while returning to earth, but her name and her legend lives on, and will continue to inspire millions of other women.
