Sports has created a niche for itself in the international arena, but there are several Indians who are have been able to make a name for themselves in the international sports arena. One of the most famous personalities in international cricket is Sachin Tendulkar. In fact, he has been acknowledged by the international sports community as a legend in cricket breaking several records in the field of cricket. Another famous name from India that has made itself known in the Olympic Games is P V for badminton. She has brought laurels to India for shining in badminton. Yet another famous personality in indoor sports, in the field of chess (the brain game) is Viswanathan Anand. Anand has been acknowledged by the international chess world for being one of the greatest chess players of all time. Other famous Indians who have made a mark for themselves in sports include Saina Nehwal in badminton and Abhinav Bhindra for shooting.
